The Sonic maximizer can go anywhere in your chain but I tend to put it at the end, Main out. It essentially breaks your signal into Low and High Frequency and then allows you to apply variable amounts of ÔÇ£enhancementÔÇØ to either of the bands. From what I understand, it does some phase shifting to help the frequencies ÔÇ£play along togetherÔÇØ and is based somewhat on how a speaker will naturally distort under certain conditions and helps prevent it.

Like any effect, the sonic maximizer can be over or incorrectly applied and make a mess but from what IÔÇÖve found, it is easy to use and sounds amazing. Again, just my opinion but this thing really helps clarify each signal EG- your vocals arenÔÇÖt as lost in the mix and signals in general just have more umph.
