Uninstall the additional vst's you've installed into the default Reaper location. Create a separate VST folder (one for 32-bit and one for 64-bit), to house any vst's you want Reaper to use other than the ones that come bundled with it. Add the location(s) of the new folder(s) to Reaper so that it can scan the folders for new content.

Issue

  • Except Reaper is free or affordable. It supports VST, VST3, AU, DX, and JS plugins. It comes with plenty of built-in plugins and effects. I use the stock EQ, compression, reverb, and delay to mix my music with great results. If you want to download Reaper, you can get the full version for free, no strings attached.

Ensuring your DAW is using the correct plug-in location

Some DAWs have different default locations to scan for plugins. If you have installed a plugin (like Equator) and can’t seem to access it from your DAW, check the DAW’s settings to ensure that it is looking in the right folder. In some DAWs you can set additional folders to scan automatically.
