The following steps explain how to check if a 64-bit plug-in has been installed into the 32-bit VST folder and if so, how to fix it. Open the Windows Start menu Search your local disk for the name of the plug-in in question, followed by the extension '.dll': 'Plug-in Name.dll (for example 'Battery 3.dll' or 'Kontakt 5.dll'). However, please help us to help you by following these suggestions: Simple clear explanation - Explain what you are doing, or trying to do, and exactly what is happening. Update - Before trying anything else. Then I tried to install some VST-plugins from Blue Cat Audio (freeware). I did something wrong (don´t know what) and now I am not able to delete the installed (wrong) plugin or install new ones. I also uninstall the software and installed it new, but the mistake is still there. Enclosed please find a screenshot how it look.

If you have installed and authorized your plug-in and it still doesn't show up in your DAW, try the following:

See Full List On Support.native-instruments.com

Mac OS X:

Simply go to your DAW’s preferences and rescan your plug-in. Note that Eventide no longer supports 32-bit plugins.

Windows:

It is possible that you need to add the following paths to your DAW’s list of VST folders. Open your DAW’s VST Preferences and add the applicable folder:

Windows 32-bit OS:

32-bit DAW: C:Program FilesCommon FilesSteinbergVST2

Windows 64-bit OS:

32-bit DAW: C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesSteinbergVST2
64-bit DAW: C:Program FilesCommon FilesSteinbergVST2
After doing this, perform a plug-in rescan in your DAW. Note that the following DAWs sometimes require additional steps:

Studio One:

  1. In the VST preferences, and make sure 'Scan at Startup' is checked.
  2. Also click 'Reset Blacklist' in the VST preferences, and then restart Studio One.

Cubase

  1. Go to Devices->Plug-in Manager and click Plug-in Manager->Rescan all. Occasionally Cubase needs to be forced to rescan the plug-in folder.

If you use Wavosaur for mastering / premastering, or signal analysis in a more general way, you need tools for audio analysis : spectrum analyzers, phase analyzers, sonogram.
Wavosaur comes with analyzers, you’ll find them in the ‘tools’ menu, along with oscilloscopes & statistics about the sound file (maximum sample peak, RMS power, average value.).

But you can also use VST plugins (for some people it can be more convenient).
We have searched deep deep inside deep deep down inside into the web, to find the best free VST plugins for audio analysis, here’s the selection:

1) Spectrum Analysis

1.1) Voxengo SPAN
