Mellotrons are cool and this emulation is one of the coolest I’ve come across.

Here’s how it works. You’ve got a flute sound, strings sound and a chorus (the singers not the effect).
There’s a big knob on the right hand side that you use to blend them together. Sounds simple right? It is, but there’s something undeniably badass about it. I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s just really, really cool.
All the usual suspects are here: attack and release controls, some weird and wonderful presets and you can tune (or detune) the unit to your heart’s content.
There are a few mellotron emulations out there, but this is considered one of the best. I agree.
